The farmer's protest has completed its 6 months in India. The agitated and distressed farmers started their protest as the government of India passed 3 farm acts in Parliament during September 2020. Various farmers and farmer unions have protested against the laws, asking the government to take them back, but the government doesn't seem to bother much.
In Hisar Haryana, the farmers sat on a protest again for repealing the three laws. But the district administration lodged FIRs against them. Hence, the farm unions have decided to hold a 'Black Day' on May 26th by hoisting black flags on the protest sites near the Delhi border. The Black Day will also symbolize the completion of six months of the protests.
The farmers of our country are suffering. The ongoing COVID-19 crisis and the several new reforms passed by the government have made their miseries more profound.
